Job summary

AIXTRON Inc. seeks an experienced Field Process Engineer to qualify and sustain MO-CVD systems at customer sites across the United States.

You will liaison between customers and the company during acceptance, then support process optimization and customer training while maintaining high customer satisfaction. The role demands 5+ years MO-CVD/semiconductor processing experience, strong statistical analysis and reporting skills, and ability to travel up to 75% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• BS, MS/ME, or Ph.D in Chemistry, Physics, or Electrical/Materials Engineering
• 5+ Years of MO-CVD experience
• 5+ Years of compound semiconductor materials experience
• Proficiency with statistical analysis programs for process data
• Ability to write formal field reports
• Ability to present technically to customers
• Ability to learn semiconductor processing for customer integration
• Strong communication with Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, Marketing, Sales and Customer Support
• Willing to travel internationally and domestically up to 75%
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Implement MO-CVD process recipes and parameters per customer specs
• Provide ongoing process support for key customers
• Coordinate customer sample evaluations at site or labs
• Define equipment performance specs from customer processes
• Support Sales with demonstrations and technical info
• Assist with installation, system checks, and commissioning
• Communicate with customers to analyze needs in after-sales ops
• Provide 24/7 service coverage
• Document failures and solutions and follow up
• Analyze problems from customer requests
• Document customer contacts and project files
• Suggest process improvements to HQ
• Ensure proper function of tools and safety equipment
• Stay up-to-date with new tech and components
• Train less experienced staff and customer reps
• Other duties as assigned
