Job summary

Landis+Gyr AG is seeking a Meter Maintenance Technician in Colorado Springs to serve as the primary contact for meter maintenance in the utility’s service area. The role involves troubleshooting energized meters, installing electric meters and gas modules on energized equipment, and performing essential field activities with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Candidates should be able to work outdoors in varying conditions, hold a valid driver’s license, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school in electric or gas preferred.
• Basic understanding of gas and electric theory and metering.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Investigate & troubleshoot energized electric & gas meter conditions.
• Install electric meter or gas module on energized equipment.
• Perform gas module battery changes for residential gas modules.
• Install antennas and conduct link assessment testing.
• Conduct Walkup Reads and stand in for Mobile Meter Reader.
• Assist with monthly safety meetings and follow QHSE guidelines.
• Maintain safety equipment and stock of field materials.
