Job summary

Xcel Energy in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Consolidated Collector – Reader to perform credit collection and electric/gas meter readings. This field role is 80% outdoors, requires reading meters, operating a company van safely, and interacting with customers to explain disconnect/reconnect actions and energy assistance options.

You will read meters for commercial and residential accounts, enter data into handheld devices, and support reliable service while maintaining a professional company

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to read and follow maps.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Independent work ability and safety awareness.
• Willingness to respond to after-hour emergencies and variable weather.
