Job summary

Acosta Group in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Retail Training Specialist to deliver hands‑on training to field merchandisers, ensuring consistent merchandising standards and strong product knowledge across territories.

You will conduct on-site and virtual sessions, travel up to 75 miles, and update materials as products change. A high school diploma and retail experience are preferred; valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior retail experience and/or retail training experience preferred.
• Proficient with smartphone apps, emails and text messaging.
• Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and be available for occasional weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training programs and materials for field merchandisers.
• Travel up to 75 miles within the assigned territory.
• Conduct on-site and virtual training sessions on standards, product features, and promotions.
• Train field merchandisers on product placement, signage, and display techniques.
• Provide hands-on coaching and feedback during store visits to reinforce training concepts.
• Collaborate with field managers to identify training needs and prioritize skill development.
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through metrics and feedback.
• Update training materials based on product changes and industry trends.
• Support new product launches and store resets with timely training sessions and resources.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on merchandising best practices.
