Job summary

Acosta Group in Kings Mills, OH is seeking a Retail Training Specialist to deliver hands-on training to field merchandisers across designated territories, focusing on merchandising standards, product knowledge, and brand representation.

The role requires travel up to 75 miles, on-site and virtual sessions, and updating training materials as products and campaigns change. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior retail or retail training experience preferred.
• Proficient with smartphones and apps; able to send/receive emails and texts; comfortable with e-learning platforms.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and occasional weekend work availability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive training programs and materials to field merchandisers, including manuals, presentations, and visual aids.
• Travel up to 75 miles within assigned territory.
• Conduct on-site and virtual training sessions on standards, product features, and promotional campaigns.
• Train field merchandisers on product placement, signage, and display techniques to maximize impact and sales.
• Provide hands-on coaching and feedback during store visits to address performance gaps.
• Collaborate with field managers to identify training needs and prioritize skill development.
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through metrics, observations, and feedback.
• Update training materials based on product changes and industry trends.
• Support new product launches and store resets with timely training sessions and resources.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on merchandising best practices and competitor activities.
