Job summary

National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is hiring a Membership Sales Representative for in-person, community-based outreach. You will meet small business owners where they are, share NFIB's impact, and invite them to join a national movement advocating on behalf of independent business owners.

This hunter/closer role rewards performance with a structured sales model, uncapped earning potential, and comprehensive benefits. Prior sales experience is helpful, but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in in-person prospecting or door-to-door/sales calls is a plus.
• Ability to present a concise, persuasive 5-minute sales pitch.
• Comfort handling objections and closing memberships on first visit.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with small business owners through in-person prospecting (no appointment setting)
• Deliver NFIB's proven, 5-minute sales presentation with confidence, authenticity, and urgency
• Build fast rapport and communicate NFIB's mission clearly and compellingly
• Address objections and close membership enrollments in one visit
• Process membership payments on the spot
