Job summary

Waters is seeking an Associate Director, Field Medical Affairs to lead the Medical Science Liaison organization and execute the field medical strategy across North America. You will build strategic relationships with KOLs, healthcare stakeholders, and professional societies while aligning with cross-functional teams.

You will oversee evidence-generation initiatives, congress planning, and medical education programs, ensuring scientific integrity and regulatory compliance across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years in Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Scientific Affairs, diagnostics, life sciences, or healthcare.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience managing Medical Affairs professionals.
• Strong microbiology, infectious diseases, molecular diagnostics, or clinical lab science background.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Field Medical Affairs team, setting performance expectations and coaching plans.
• Drive external scientific engagement and evidence-generation initiatives.
• Build relationships with KOLs, investigators, and professional societies to inform strategy.
