Job summary

BD is seeking an Associate Director, Field Medical Affairs to lead the Medical Science Liaison organization in North America and oversee strategy for the Advanced Diagnostics portfolio. You will collaborate with R&D, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, Marketing, and Commercial teams to translate external insights into actionable portfolio decisions and education programs.

Qualifications

Minimum 10+ years in Medical Affairs or related fields.
3–5 years of leadership experience in Field Medical/Medical Affairs.
Strong experience in microbiology, infectious diseases, molecular diagnostics, or clinical lab science.
Demonstrated success leading field medical strategy and execution across regional or national geographies.
Proven ability to influence senior leadership and engage external scientific leaders.

Responsibilities

Gather and analyze scientific/clinical insights to inform evidence generation and portfolio strategy.
Lead portions of Medical Affairs strategic planning and drive execution of objectives.
Directly manage and develop a team of Medical Science Liaisons with performance and succession planning.
Oversee external engagement with KOLs, investigators, and professional societies.
Represent the organization at scientific congresses and advisory boards.
Ensure scientific integrity and regulatory compliance across Field Medical activities.
