The CareCoach Connect Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) performs a variety of healthcare activities in coordination with Physicians or Advanced Practice Clinicians in support of patient care. These include, but are not limited to, taking vitals, administering injections, diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, quality surveys, and assisting in documentation. The CMA will deliver exceptional customer service and maintain quality standards. This position is field-based, requiring visits to patients' homes, virtual settings, and other locations.

The Certified Medical Assistant performs all duties within their scope of practice delegated by, and under the supervision of, a provider (TX) or physician (FL).

Responsibilities include organizing the clinical environment, supporting patient care, assisting physicians and nursing staff, and communicating patient needs. The CMA ensures policy adherence, maintains confidentiality, and provides quality customer service.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Perform duties within the scope of a Certified Medical Assistant, including provider-supervised procedures, injections, testing, and phlebotomy.
  2. Coordinate healthcare screening results as directed.
  3. Travel with providers to support community-based services.
  4. Complete health screenings and process documentation accurately.
  5. Record patient care documentation promptly and accurately.
  6. Review all relevant medical information before patient visits.
  7. Manage supplies, inventory, and follow up on discrepancies.
  8. Present abnormal results to the provider promptly.
  9. Prepare charts for post-visit documentation and follow-up.
  10. Assist with consent forms, documentation, and follow-up appointments.
  11. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to safety standards.
  12. Operate diagnostic equipment and assist with wound care and specimen collection.
  13. Ensure referrals are entered and followed up appropriately.
  14. Assist in developing plans of care for clinicians.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, current Medical Assistant certification, CPR certification, basic computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and ability to travel. Preferred qualifications include graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, experience, and bilingual skills.

Physical requirements involve lifting, standing, fine motor skills, and exposure to communicable diseases.

The hourly wage ranges from $16.00 to $28.85, based on experience and other factors. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, incentive programs, stock purchase options, and a 401k plan.
