UTHealth Houston Sienna Multispecialty is hiring a Medical Assistant to join their team of professionals in southwest Houston. This newly created MA position is essential to ensuring seamless clinic operations and quality patient care. The MA will provide critical support for the new dermatology provider, who will operate two days per week, and will assist two OB providers on the remaining days.
Key responsibilities include managing in-baskets, correspondence with necessary offsite departments, processing prior authorizations, and driving no-show reduction initiatives.
Preferences: Multispecialty experience, bilingual (English/Spanish)
Location: 8810 Hwy 6, Missouri City, Tx 77459
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Saturdays as needed

Position Summary:
Functions as a member of the clinical team performing a supportive role in the delivery of patient care that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Certification/Skills:
Use and care of standard clinic equipment
Basic Life Support (BLS) certified
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program preferred
Six months experience or completion of an approved Medical Assistant Training Program.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Security Sensitive:
This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
