The Certified Medical Assistant is required to perform all duties within their scope of practice, delegated by and under supervision of a provider (TX) or physician (FL).

Responsibilities include organizing the clinical environment, supporting patient care, assisting physicians and nursing staff, and ensuring policy compliance including infection control, privacy, and confidentiality.

  8. Manage supplies, inventory, and ensure proper rotation and restocking.
  9. Present abnormal results promptly to providers for immediate attention.
  10. Prepare charts for post-visit documentation, faxing, and forwarding.
  11. Assist with pre-visit preparations, consent forms, and follow-up documentation.
  12. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy policies.
  13. Maintain certifications and quality control standards.
  14. Promote a positive work environment and support team members.
  15. Operate diagnostic equipment under supervision, assist with wound care, specimen collection, and medication administration.
  16. Ensure referrals are entered and followed up timely.
  17. Assist in developing care plans for clinicians.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, current Medical Assistant certification, CPR certification, computer literacy, and knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding. Additional immunizations and health screenings are required.

Preferred qualifications include graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, 3+ years of experience, and bilingual skills in English/Spanish.

The hourly pay range is $16.00 to $28.85, based on experience and location. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, incentive programs, stock purchase options, and 401(k).
