The CareCoach Connect Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) performs a variety of healthcare activities in coordination with Physicians or Advanced Practice Clinicians in support of patient care. These include, but are not limited to, taking vitals, administering injections, diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, quality surveys, and assisting in documentation where appropriate. The CMA will deliver exceptional customer service and maintain established quality control standards. This position will be field-based, supporting patients in their homes, virtual settings, and other community locations.
The Certified Medical Assistant is required to perform all duties within their scope of practice, delegated by and under supervision of a provider (TX) or physician (FL).
Responsibilities include organizing the clinical environment, supporting patient care, assisting physicians and nursing staff, and ensuring policy compliance including infection control, privacy, and confidentiality.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, current Medical Assistant certification, CPR certification, computer literacy, and knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding. Ability to react calmly in emergencies, communicate effectively, and travel frequently are required. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary. Additional immunizations and health screenings are required.
Preferred qualifications include graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, 3+ years of experience, and bilingual skills in English/Spanish.
The hourly pay range is $16.00 to $28.85, based on experience and location. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, incentive programs, stock purchase options, and 401(k).
