Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking a Mechanical Technician in Liberal, KS to safely maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and support the reliable operation of mechanical equipment across the gathering system. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on engines, compressors, pumps, valves, piping, and related facility equipment, while documenting work per procedures and standards.

The role requires the ability to work in varying weather, provide leadership to teammates, and participate in safety

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must live within a 45 mile radius of reporting location.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis of recurring issues on engines, compressors, pumps, and components.
• Leads or performs overhaul of compressors and engines, including foundation work, alignment, testing and startup.
• Provides Quality Assurance/Quality Control over 3rd party contractors performing major maintenance.
• Maintains and repairs engines, compressors and associated components and systems.
• Operates safely at remote field locations and is available for callout.
• Documents timesheets, SAP orders, safe job plans, work permits and regulatory reports.
