Job summary

Phillips 66 Company in Mont Belvieu, TX is seeking an experienced Field Technician to perform mechanical, electrical, and instrument maintenance across pipelines and related equipment. You will supervise field crews, inspect facilities, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires a HS diploma, 3+ years in Oil & Gas operations, and the ability to lift 50 lb, climb ladders, and work long hours. Relocation within 35 miles is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Within 35 miles of Mont Belvieu, TX reporting location or willing to relocate.
• 3+ years of operations experience in the Oil & Gas or related industry.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must lift at least 50 lb, occasional 130 lb, climb ladders up to 45 ft, and work long hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair end devices and electrical equipment.
• Inspect facilities; operate gas pump/meter stations and mainline valves.
• Pipeline pigging, filter changes, ILI tool runs.
• Startup, shutdown, and operation of NGL equipment.
• Provide technical support for mechanical, electrical, and rotating equipment maintenance.
• Submit maintenance/calibration reports in a timely manner.
• Read and understand P&ID diagrams.
• Maintain L&E skills via training sessions.
• Maintain pipeline ROW markers, signs, vegetation, and encroachments.
• Maintain One-Call, pipeline locating, and crossing records.
• Keep records per pipeline regulatory requirements.
• Inspect meters and related equipment (measurement meters, ultrasonic meters, flow computers).
• Assist with sampling and proving measurement meters.
• Repair mechanicals like block/control valves, air compressors, actuators.
• Maintain fixed equipment (filters, strainers, dehydration systems).
• Inspect transmitters, switches, gas detectors, etc.
• Operate PLC, HMI, pipeline valves and actuators.
• Maintain motor control equipment.
