Job summary

Phillips 66 Company in Texas seeks a Mechanical Technician to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance on engines and compressors across sites from Big Spring to Midland. The role reports to Pegasus or Rawhide Plants and requires high safety standards and teamwork.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, overhaul work, and supervising contractors, with a focus on equipment reliability and regulatory compliance in a heavy industry setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older; valid driver's license.
• Willing to relocate within 45 miles of reporting location.
• 1+ year maintenance/mechanical experience in oil and gas or related industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on engines, compressors and related components.
• Lead or perform overhaul of compressors and engines and related tests.
• Ensure safe, effective maintenance per company standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Comply with company policies and safety directives.
• Work on air pollution control equipment and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Identify maintenance work and initiate work requests.
• Drive company vehicle within assigned area.
• Train less experienced employees and oversee contract personnel.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and ensure QA/QC on major maintenance by 3rd parties.
