Job summary

Phillips 66 is hiring a Mechanical Technician to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance on production and facility equipment at sites between Big Spring and Midland.

The role requires 1+ year in oil and gas maintenance, a high school diploma, and the ability to work a rotating schedule in harsh conditions. Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
• High School Diploma/GED equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must live/relocate within 45 miles of reporting location.
• 1+ years maintenance/mechanical experience in oil and gas or related industry.
• Willing and able to perform with or without accommodation, with safety gear.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on engines, compressors and related components.
• Overhaul compressors and engines, including foundation work, alignment, testing and startup.
• Ensure safe, effective and efficient maintenance and operation in line with standards.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and directives.
• Work on air pollution control equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Identify maintenance work and initiate work requests.
• Drive a company vehicle within the assigned area.
• Provide QA/QC oversight of 3rd party contractors.
• Diagnose mechanical problems.
