Job summary

Bechtel seeks an experienced field engineering professional for the Louisiana LNG project near Lake Charles. You will provide project field engineering specialization, work planning, material management, quantity verification, safety and quality control, and subcontract coordination to ensure safe, complete, and compliant field activities.

The role emphasizes continuous learning, coordination with home office and contractors, and adherence to project standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H).
• Zero Accident safety mindset required.
• Proficiency with standard office software and company databases.
• Familiarity with quality standards and documentation workflows.
• Knowledge of PTRs (RFI, FCD, NCR) processes and routing.

Responsibilities

• Lead work planning and packaging for field construction activities.
• Oversee material management and takeoffs for field purchases.
• Verify quantities using project tracking systems and databases.
• Enforce safety and quality control across craft teams on site.
• Engage in technical learning and professional development.
• Coordinate system turnover and ensure package scope clarity from home office to field.
• Review subcontractor submittals and align with project requirements.
