Job summary

Marks Clearing and Grading Inc. is seeking a Field Mechanic to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment and vehicles directly at job sites. You will work to keep machinery safe, reliable, and operational to minimize downtime on construction projects.

Responsibilities include on-site troubleshooting, hydraulic and electrical repairs, equipment inspections, and maintaining service records. A high school diploma and technical training are preferred; CDL is optional.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with heavy equipment and diesel engines preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains heavy construction equipment onsite (dozers, excavators, loaders, trucks).
• Performs on-site troubleshooting, hydraulic and electrical repairs, and routine maintenance. Maintains tool inventory and service records.
• Communicates repair timelines and needs to supervisors and equipment management.
