Job summary

MasTec Renewables seeks an on-site maintenance technician to support equipment upkeep across job sites. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain renewable energy machinery, record inspections, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

This role requires travel to sites full-time and adherence to OEM guidelines. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma, and a CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• 1–3 years related experience.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred.
• Medical Examiner Certification or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive company equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on the job site.
• Maintain work orders and complete inspections in repair stages.
• Perform preventive maintenance per OEM specs.
• Collect and send fluid samples for analysis.
• Operate equipment to diagnose problems and inspect for defects.
• Perform DOT inspections per FMCSA regulations.
• Ensure safety features and surroundings comply with standards.
• Complete repairs with accuracy per dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate parts needs to Field Equipment Manager.
• Document work performed and status on repair orders.
• Identify defects and report malfunctions; complete repairs.
• Test vehicles and equipment when required.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Maintain tool inventory on service truck.
• Follow federal, state, local regulatory requirements.
