Job summary

West Virginia Paving, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Field Mechanic to perform maintenance on construction and paving equipment. This role requires strong mechanical skills, own tools, and the ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.

Overtime and potential out-of-town work may be required. Applicants should have a minimum of five years of experience on construction equipment, be able to work in a team, and follow safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years mechanic experience working on construction equipment.
• Must provide own tools up to ¾” drive mechanical and pneumatic
• Able to read hydraulic and electrical schematics
• Comfortable sticking welds on mild steel as a minimum
• Able to use cutting torches and shop tools
• Able to follow written and oral instructions

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanic duties on various machinery and operating equipment.
• Work in a multi-functional role with flexibility for schedule changes.
• Maintain safety standards and adhere to West Virginia Paving Inc./CRH policies.
