Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking Field Technicians to sample fresh concrete, conduct slump, air, and temperature tests, and manage cylinder sets. You will verify soil density with a nuclear gauge and document results the same day.

Entry level welcome—training provided and certifications paid by the company. You may travel to various sites across defined regions, with pay and overtime aligned to experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors at varying sites and weather conditions.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable.
• We sponsor ACI Field Grade I, NICET I/II, and nuclear gauge certifications.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
