Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample concrete, perform slump/air/temperature tests, and document results daily. Training is provided and we sponsor certifications as you progress.

You will also verify soil compaction with a nuclear density gauge, generate daily site reports, and work on outdoor construction sites, often across different locations with travel. The role is physical and essential to project quality.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willing to work outdoors in varied weather.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable.
• ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certification a plus; sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
