Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Field Technician to sample fresh concrete, run slump, air, temperature, and cylinder sets, and document results daily on active job sites. No experience required; we train you and sponsor certifications including ACI Field Grade I and NICET levels.

You will operate a nuclear density gauge, verify soil density, and communicate findings to superintendents in the field. The role is outdoors, physical, and essential to project quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in varying weather and sites.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable.
• ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certifications are a plus and sponsored by us.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31; run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938; prepare clear daily field reports.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody; communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
• Provide accurate results, read jobsite conditions, and support field operations across sites.
