Job summary
Froehling & Robertson, Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician to join our team.
You will travel to construction sites to inspect workmanship and perform basic field soil and concrete tests under supervision, using smartphones/tablets for immediate data transmission to Project Managers. Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Prior construction or field testing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, and manuals.
- Must be able to walk/stand for long periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
- Must be willing to travel to job sites and have a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Perform field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete.
- Prepare detailed field reports with test results and observations.
- Perform laboratory tests on soil and concrete and prepare reports.
- Evaluate site conditions and provide recommendations.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff regarding construction issues.
