Job summary

Hills-Carnes Engineering Associates (HCEA) seeks a Construction Materials Testing Technician in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. You will work independently and with staff on land development and construction projects, performing field observations and material sampling/testing as part of a dynamic team.

You will prepare daily inspection logs and communicate progress to project managers, handling soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and steel materials while adhering to safety

Qualifications

• Must have reliable safety-conscious approach with field work.
• Ability to perform basic math and read plans or specs with training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field observations at regional jobsites.
• Sample and test construction materials (soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, steel).
• Prepare accurate daily logs of inspections and test results.
• Communicate project progress to PM or Operations Manager daily.
