Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates (HCEA) is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician for our Salisbury (Delmar), MD office. You will perform field observations, sampling, and testing on diverse construction materials, while preparing precise daily inspection logs and coordinating with the PM/Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include testing soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel, with on-site field work and collaboration with experienced

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to perform construction materials testing and sampling.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications (ACI/NICET/WACEL).
• Proficient in using MS Office and tablet-based data entry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field observations at jobsites in the Salisbury region.
• Sample and test soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel.
• Prepare accurate daily logs with inspection results.
• Maintain communication with Project Manager or Operations Manager on progress.
