Job summary

Legacy Engineering, P.C. in Fredericksburg, Virginia, is seeking a Construction Materials Technician (Part-Time) to join the Construction Materials Testing team. This position offers outdoor field work at active construction sites with hands-on testing and documentation responsibilities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Interest in construction, engineering, or field work.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 85 pounds and stay active throughout the day.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Travel to construction sites in the Fredericksburg region to perform field testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials.
Work alongside contractors, engineers, and inspectors on active construction projects.
Perform basic field tests using specialized equipment and industry procedures.
Document test results and site observations using a tablet or field reports.
Communicate with project managers and field supervisors regarding testing needs or site conditions.
Maintain and properly use testing equipment while following safety standards.
