Legacy Engineering, P.C. in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Construction Field Technician for the Construction Materials Testing team. This is a hands-on, outdoor role on active construction sites to verify that roads, buildings, and infrastructure are built to spec.

No prior testing experience is required; we provide training and pay for industry certifications. Compensation ranges from $18 to $23 per hour, with benefits including holidays and PTO, medical/dental/vision, a 401(k) match, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Interest in construction or field work.
• Able to lift up to 85 pounds and stay active all day.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Fredericksburg construction sites to perform field testing of soil, concrete, and other materials.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and inspectors on active projects.
• Perform basic field tests with specialized equipment and industry procedures.
• Document test results and site observations using tablets and field reports.
• Communicate testing needs and observations to project managers and field supervisors.
• Maintain testing equipment and follow safety standards.
