Overview

As a Field Marketing Specialist at Smart Communications, you will play a critical role in executing regional programs that generate new logo pipeline, accelerate in-flight deals, and deepen engagement with our customer base. This will include planning and execution of regional programs/campaigns and flagship events, regional customer events, executive roundtables, and industry conferences. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of North America Demand Generation as well as cross-functional teams including sales, SDR, product marketing, and customer marketing to plan, build, and deliver high-impact marketing activities across the region. You will act as the marketing liaison for regional sales teams, ensuring alignment on campaign priorities, messaging, and pipeline goals.

The responsibilities of the role include

We are seeking an execution-driven and highly collaborative Field Marketing Specialist to:

  • Execute regional demand generation and account-based marketing programs designed by the Director of NA Demand Generation.
  • Coordinate campaign components including email, digital, webinars, direct mail, paid programs, and follow-up workflows.
  • Manage campaign timelines, deliverables, and internal communications to ensure flawless execution.
  • Build targeted lists and support segmentation strategy (industry, persona, account tier).
  • Help develop and launch regional programs that support new logo pipeline and expansion opportunities.
  • Partner with sales and SDRs to ensure proper follow-up and alignment on goals, messaging, and KPIs.
  • Execute logistics for regional events including tradeshows, conferences, partner events, and Smart Communications-hosted events.
  • Manage event deliverables such as booth materials, swag, shipping, speaker prep, and lead capture processes.
  • Analyze event ROI and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain regional toolkits: decks, one-sheets, follow-up templates, and content bundles.
  • Ensure field teams are equipped with the right messaging and assets aligned to regional priorities.
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for sales on campaign execution and event readiness.
  • Monitor campaign and event performance using CRM and marketing automation tools.
  • Provide reporting on KPIs including lead volume, MQL/SAL progression, campaign attribution, and pipeline contribution.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and present recommendations to the Director of NA Demand Generation.
  • Partner with global marketing, product marketing, content, brand, and customer marketing teams to localize and adapt global initiatives for the North American market.
  • Support cross-functional working groups, weekly operating cadences, and planning cycles.
What we’re looking for
Must have skills/experience
  • 2–4+ years of experience in B2B demand generation, field marketing, or campaign execution, ideally in enterprise software/SaaS.
  • Highly proactive, execution-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple programs and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience using campaign and pipeline data to identify opportunities for optimization and regional program performance improvements.
  • Experience partnering closely with sales teams and supporting field or regional go-to-market motions.
  • Comfort using marketing automation (Marketo, 6Sense, or similar) and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) to run programs and measure results.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support events and field initiatives.
