Job summary

JetFuel in Hartford, CT is seeking an Area Manager to recruit, train and lead Promotional Specialists for in-market on- and off-premise sampling programs, ensuring flawless execution and strict client standards. You will serve as the local point of contact for client field marketing, staff promotions, coach the team, monitor performance, and report results to the Regional Sampling Manager and Directors.

Requirements include 1–3 years of beverage experience, familiarity with on/off-premise

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of adult beverage experience preferred.
• Familiarity with on/off-premise marketing initiatives.
• Prior promotional agency experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have access to a smartphone.
• Ability to lift and transport promotional materials and event assets as needed.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and train staff to be knowledgeable about the client’s products, promotions, and industry specifics.
• Act as the local point of contact for client field marketing, with all client communication flowing through field marketing.
• Meet with the client to gather information and stay updated on product and industry knowledge, reporting all competitive activity in the market.
• Staff all required on-premise, off-premise, and special events.
• Maintain regular contact and communication between client field marketing and JetFuel.
• Staff all promotions within assigned geographic regions.
• Conduct spot checks on a regular cadence to ensure quality standards.
• Manage HR issues such as performance management and conflict resolution for a team of part-time specialists.
• Communicate all event standards to ensure successful execution.
