Job summary

Ruppert Landscape Co. seeks a Field Manager for landscape maintenance to oversee field labor and materials on contracted projects, including snow removal. You will develop staff, supervise daily production, and ensure work stays within budget while maintaining client relationships.

The role emphasizes training, budgeting, and proactive communication with customers, with a focus on contract renewal and high team performance. Competitive salary and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skill and ability to manage others at other levels.
• Demonstrated skill and ability to work with service customers.
• At least one year of experience doing contract maintenance work in a commercial setting.
• Two or four-year horticultural or related degrees and two years of industry experience; certifications can substitute for degrees.
• Ability to identify and diagnose insect and disease problems and schedule appropriate treatment.
• Working knowledge of vehicles and equipment used in contract maintenance and snow removal.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record over the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and supervise daily production activities on assigned contracts.
• Develop a clear understanding of budgets for each job and monitor hours and costs.
• Develop good client relationships and communicate budget hours to team.
• Monitor quality and report issues to customers; inspect work daily.
• Sell extras using T&M tickets.
• Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment in good condition.
