Job summary

Main Street Renewal is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to respond to and repair property issues across the metro area. You will work under the Maintenance Lead/Supervisor, handling a range of tasks from plumbing and electrical to HVAC and carpentry, with focus on timely, quality repairs and a strong move-in experience.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years in maintenance, strong communication, a valid driver's license, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced field setting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of maintenance experience with 1+ year in multi-family or single-family communities.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry knowledge; certifications preferred.
• Strong communication and written skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review daily work orders and gather repair information and supplies.
• Schedule tasks and communicate with residents on arrival times.
• Complete repairs within SLA, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and external work.
• Close out work orders before next appointment.
• Communicate status with Maintenance Lead/Supervisor and Support Center.
• Document work with before/after photos and track tool usage.
• Perform pre-move-in audits and ensure a great move-in experience.
• Travel to properties in metro area as required.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents and peers.
