Job summary

Smarte Carte, Inc. is seeking a Field Maintenance and Repair Technician to cover the Indianapolis area. This full-time role requires nightly, weekend, and holiday availability and offers a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility.

The technician will travel to malls, fitness clubs, and other locations to repair, maintain, and service vending equipment such as strollers, massage chairs, and lockers. Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and 3+ years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of field-based product support experience (route) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a customer service role required.
• Basic understanding of electro/mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Own area P&L and deliver results vs. plans.
• Build relationships with mall, locker, and Planet Fitness partners.
• Identify KPIs to maximize flow-through on route.
• Inspect and maintain carts, CMUs, strollers, massage chairs, and lockers.
• Handle cash/credit collections and end-of-month paperwork.
• Submit reports accurately and timely.
• Keep equipment clean and functional for customers.
• Maintain daily task and service history records.
• Manage inventory of parts, tools, and cleaning supplies.
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and standards.
• Assist with new location installations or upgrades.
• Night/weekend/holiday work may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
