Job summary
Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to perform general maintenance and repair of commercial kitchen equipment across Travel Plazas in Delaware and New Jersey. The role supports multiple sites and emphasizes cost-effective operation of all food service equipment.
The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in restaurant/hospitality maintenance, strong electrical/plumbing/carpentry skills, and the ability to travel.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry.
- Experience repairing commercial kitchen equipment and appliances.
- Familiar with commercial electrical (single & 3 phase 120/208 voltages).
- Skilled in plumbing, drywall, tile installation, and carpentry.
- Must be at least 25 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders.
- Willingness to travel to Delaware and New Jersey Travel Plazas.
- Proficient with a computer maintenance management system (CMMS).
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose and perform repairs and maintenance on all food service equipment.
- Maintain small appliances, kitchen equipment, and minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
- Coordinate repairs within approved budgetary guidelines.
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedule and records.
- Travel to various Travel Plazas in Delaware/New Jersey to repair and maintain all facility-related items.
