Job summary

Terra Contracting, Inc is seeking an Underground Utility Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on fiber optic, gas, and power projects in the Las Vegas area. You’ll manage crews, coordinate resources, and ensure safe, on-time, within-budget project delivery.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes safety, quality, and production while coordinating with PMs, foremen, subcontractors, and clients to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of construction experience.
• Minimum 5 years in leadership or supervising field crews.
• Experience with underground utility construction and trenching.
• Experience on fiber optic, gas, power, or telecom projects.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise underground utility construction crews in the field.
• Oversee excavation, trenching, utility installation, restoration, and related activities.
• Drive production, safety, and quality standards across multiple projects and crews.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, subcontractors, materials, and project resources.
• Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Serve as primary contact between field operations, PMs, and leadership.
• Conduct quality control inspections and ensure compliance with specs and safety policies.
• Mentor Foremen and field personnel; support workforce development.
