Job summary

LEMOINE is seeking a Civil Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on civil and infrastructure construction projects. You will assist the Superintendent with daily field activities, safety compliance, subcontractor coordination, and quality-control documentation while communicating with project managers, engineers, and vendors.

The role emphasizes hands-on field work, leadership potential, and growth into a Civil Superintendent position.

Qualifications

• 2+ years field experience in civil/heavy construction or related environments.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and site plans.
• Basic understanding of scheduling, field docs, and quality-control.
• Experience with craft workers, subcontractors, and material deliveries.
• OSHA 30 or willingness to obtain within timeframe.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendent with daily field operations for civil activities.
• Coordinate craft employees, subcontractors, equipment, and logistics.
• Review drawings, specs, schedules, and work plans for upcoming work.
• Monitor progress to ensure compliance with plans and schedule.
• Participate in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and coordination meetings.
• Promote safety policies and report unsafe conditions to leadership.
• Maintain accurate daily reports on manpower, equipment, deliveries, delays.
• Assist with inspections, testing, punch lists, and quality-control docs.
• Coordinate with field engineers, inspectors, vendors, and third parties.
