Job summary

Ruppert Landscape Co is seeking a Field Manager for Landscape Maintenance in the Frederick, MD area. The role focuses on directing labor and materials on contracted maintenance and snow removal projects while developing team members and ensuring contracts stay within budgeted hours.

The position requires managing field operations, maintaining vehicle and equipment, and fostering strong client relationships to promote contract renewals and high service quality.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience doing contract maintenance work in a commercial setting.
• Two- or four-year horticultural or related degree; two years of industry experience can substitute for a degree.
• Ability to identify and diagnose insect and disease problems and schedule appropriate treatment.
• Working knowledge of vehicles and equipment used in contract maintenance and snow removal.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record over the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and supervise daily production activities on assigned contracts.
• Develop understanding of budgets and monitor hours, reports, and costs; communicate budget hours to team.
• Develop a good client relationship and proactively communicate issues to the customer.
• Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment in good working order.
• Sell extras through T&M tickets and ensure safety and quality in field operations.
