Job summary

Elmington Construction seeks an on-site Assistant Superintendent to lead the field team and oversee all work on site. You will ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project guidelines while coordinating with the PM team and subcontractors.

The role requires understanding of ground-up construction, strong communication, and organizational skills. A degree in Building Science/Construction Management or equivalent experience is preferred, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Science, Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred; may substitute with experience.
• Minimum of ten years related construction experience and/or training.
• Commercial/Multi-Family Construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage field team; oversee all on-site work.
• Ensure quality standards, inspections, and safety compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and equipment; track progress.
• Review project documents to anticipate RFIs and coordination issues.
• Assist in daily, progress, and compliance reporting; document issues.
