Job summary

APi Inc in New Brighton, MN is seeking a Field Manager to assist in site management of an insulation/sheet metal contract, maintain weekly job progress reports, and coordinate the expedition of required material, consumables, tools, equipment, and site inventory.

The role requires representing the company on the contract, managing timekeeping and reporting, updating project schedules, and ensuring safety standards while coordinating with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in field management in construction or contracting.
• Ability to coordinate material, tools, and inventory.
• Strong reporting and scheduling skills.
• Commitment to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly job progress reports and verify installation progress (height awareness).
• Assist in preparation of progress payment requests (invoices).
• Write correspondence as directed by the Project Manager.
• Maintain organized inventory files for material, equipment and tools.
• Evaluate completion status to anticipate production/scheduling issues.
• Submit Daily Time Sheets to customer.
• Update project schedules to inform the team and customer.
• Working knowledge of blueprints and project specifications.
• Perform material takeoffs and expedite materials.
• Ensure current knowledge of construction safety and QA/QC.
• Obtain written work releases from customer and update release log.
• Identify, track and document additional work.
• Work with Project Superintendent and Project Manager for team harmony.
• Identify areas of available work and ensure materials are in inventory.
• Attend customer meetings as directed.
• Orientation and training of new hires.
• Maintain latest revisions of prints.
• Prepare special reports and complete other projects as directed.
