Job summary

IQ Fiber is seeking a Construction Coordinator to manage residential and commercial fiber builds from start to finish. You will oversee field surveys, permit procurement, BOM creation, NTP packages, and subcontractor coordination to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

This hands-on role requires strong field presence, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to troubleshoot and decide autonomously in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; two-year degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of telecom construction experience.
• Experience with surveys, budgets, and BOMs incl. GPON.
• Certifications such as NCTI, SCTE, or BCT/E preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word; ability to learn new systems (Vetro).
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR and ability to drive in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects end-to-end from survey to closeout.
• Conduct field surveys for aerial and underground installations.
• Obtain permits and easements before work begins.
• Create BOMs and manage material orders and coordination.
• Prepare NTP packages and assign work to subcontractors.
• Verify field work meets design specs with safety oversight.
• Troubleshoot on-site issues to protect timelines and costs.
• Modify designs to reflect as-built conditions and document bore logs.
• Submit routine progress reports to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams for planning and budgeting.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and safety on all projects.
