Job summary

IQ Fiber is seeking a Construction Coordinator to manage residential and commercial fiber projects from start to finish. The role oversees field surveys, permit acquisition, BOM development, NTP packages, and subcontractor oversight to deliver quality service.

The position requires strong field presence, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to troubleshoot and make decisions independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of telecommunications construction experience.
• Experience with walk-out surveys, design, budgeting, and creating BOMs including GPON; managing contractor relationships and multi-site coordination.
• Certifications such as NCTI, SCTE, or BCT/E preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own construction projects end-to-end from survey through closeout.
• Conduct field surveys of outside plant installations and design routes/entry points.
• Obtain required permits and easements before work begins.
• Create BOMs and manage material ordering and vendor coordination.
• Prepare and issue NTP packages for contractors and assign work to subcontractor teams.
• Perform field verification to ensure work meets design specifications and safety standards.
• Coordinate with customers and internal departments to support planning and budgeting.
• Ensure OSHA safety standards and company policies are followed on all sites.
