Job summary

Clearwave Fiber is seeking a Field Construction Manager to lead on-site execution of the company’s outside plant fiber network. You will direct installation, coordinate with project managers and contractors, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance across all fiber platforms.

This hands-on leadership role owns field execution, contractor performance, and team development, converting designs into revenue-producing fiber while maintaining budgets and timelines.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on telecommunications OSP construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of fiber construction methods and outside plant infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to navigate HES systems for tracking service orders and tickets.
• Working knowledge of RUS and NEC codes related to OSP construction.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned markets.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee installation of outside plant (OSP) fiber facilities including aerial, underground, and buried plant.
• Coordinate daily field activities with project managers, contractors, splicing teams, and locate vendors.
• Ensure field construction activities are on schedule, on budget, and safe.
• Review and distribute splicing diagrams and construction packages to contractors.
• Lead, coach, and develop Construction Engineers, Leaders, Assistants, and contractors.
• Provide weekly status reports to the Director with risks and mitigation plans.
