Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Landfill Gas Technician to join our field team. The role focuses on analyzing landfill well data with an eTools system, performing pump maintenance, and tuning landfill gas systems.

Two months of comprehensive on-site training across multiple sites will precede relocation to a home site in Rockville, MD. This contract-to-hire role offers ESOP benefits and growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience working in outdoor environments.
• Background in field work and mechanical aptitude; military experience welcomed.
• Data entry proficiency.
• OSHA 40 HAZWOPER certification is a plus (we will pay to certify).
• Experience in environmental fieldwork and testing is a plus.
• Field sampling experience.
• Mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze landfill well data using an eTools system.
• Perform pump maintenance: pulling, rebuilding, troubleshooting, and replacement.
• Read and tune landfill gas systems.
• Conduct Surface Emissions Monitoring (SEMs) and probe readings.
• Utilize company equipment and vehicles for tasks.
