Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an Equipment Operator to join our Landfill Gas Construction/Drilling team in the United States. The role focuses on operating an excavator, fusing pipe, and supporting a crew in gas-well and piping installation on landfill sites.

Ideal candidates have heavy equipment experience, pipe welding/fusion skills, and familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements. Overtime, overtime lodging, and a $75/day per diem are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have pipe welding and fitting experience.
• Good working knowledge of heavy construction equipment and pipe fusion equipment/techniques.
• Familiar with landfill gas systems and safety regulations.
• Clean driving record; MVR check as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavator and assist other team members on landfill gas projects.
• Be punctual on all scheduled days.
• Assist with pipe fusion, welding, and piping construction.
• Maintain and organize equipment and supplies; keep records tidy.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations; report incidents.
