Job summary

Congruex is hiring a Laborer in Columbus, OH to support construction activities, assist with underground utility installation, and maintain safe, organized worksites. You will back field crews and contribute to safe, efficient, and high‑quality workmanship.

The role involves travel up to 25% and a pay range of $18–$26 per hour, with opportunities to work closely with construction supervisors, project managers, and telecommunications clients on critical infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and MVR.

Responsibilities

• Attend safety/huddle meetings.
• Operate tamping machines per specs.
• Inspect machines and assist with maintenance.
• Load and unload jobsite materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Inspect and operate hand tools.
• Assist with trench excavation, shoring, and backfilling.
