Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field/lab technician to perform testing, observation and inspection of construction materials on project sites in Texas. You will communicate findings to the Project Manager, prepare records, and ensure samples and data are properly documented for daily submission.

The role requires a high school diploma, 6 months of experience, and a valid driver’s license. ACI certification within 90 days and Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months are required/preferred

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience required.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
• Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
• Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate with Project Manager and team about requirements and results.
• Transport material samples to the laboratory with documentation.
• Prepare and submit data and observations in reports for daily transmittal.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas.
• Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians on projects.
• Adhere to strict safety standards.
