Job summary

CRH is seeking a Field/Lab Technician to support sampling, testing soils and asphalt materials, and reporting results. The role involves operating gauges, following DOT specifications, and driving a company vehicle as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (GED preferred) and 1–2 years of QC experience. Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work with others are essential in this hands-on position.

Qualifications

• WAQTC certification preferred for field and lab work.
• CAPA Level A & B certifications desirable for testing.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record required.
• Ability to back light trailers may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect samples for testing and maintain records.
• Set up and operate nuclear density gauges for compaction tests.
• Follow state DOT specs and established testing procedures.
• Perform tests and report results accurately and promptly.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and follow safety regulations.
• Drive company vehicle as part of job duties.
