Job summary

CRH's Hales Sand & Gravel unit in Elsinore, Utah, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to safely sample and test soils, aggregates, and asphalt materials. You will collect materials, perform analyses, and document results, with driving a company vehicle required.

The role requires knowledge of DOT specs, the ability to test to certification levels, and accurate reporting. Daily duties include testing, recording results, and maintaining a clean lab environment in compliance with MSHA & OSHA

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years QC experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Must have a current and valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect samples for testing.
• Set up, operate and maintain nuclear density gauges for asphalt and soils compaction.
• Know state DOT and governing agency job specifications.
• Perform sampling, testing and reporting procedures to established protocols.
• Maintain daily test records and report results to supervisor.
