Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies in the United States seeks a Journeyman Powerline Technician to assist in constructing and maintaining distribution powerlines.

The Journeyman Lineman must hold a Journeyperson certificate and have experience in the distribution or transmission industry with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability. You will perform field duties including installation and repair of lines, conductor stringing, and operation of pulling and tensioning equipment.

Qualifications

• Red Seal certification in the powerline industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair high- and low-voltage distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot overhead and underground distribution lines.
• Construct new distribution powerlines across all phases, including framing of structures.
• Conductor stringing and cable pulling in overhead and civil environments.
• Operate equipment used in construction and maintenance of distribution powerlines.
