Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies is seeking an Apprentice Lineman Technician to assist in the construction and maintenance of power systems, including replacing or repairing defective lines, substations, and accessories.

Under Foreman or Construction Manager, you will learn and perform field safety leadership, training toward Lineman certification, and collaborate on electrical grid projects at various sites with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience as an Apprentice Lineman Technician or in a related role within electrical utility, transmission, distribution, or powerline construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair high and low voltage transmission and distribution electrical grid.
• Troubleshoot and repair overhead distribution and transmission lines.
• Install, inspect, maintain, repair, and modify high and low voltage transmission and distribution of electrical grid.
• Maintain interior, exterior, overhead, and underground electrical distribution systems.
• Install and maintain cables making part of power distribution systems.
• Assist in the construction, maintenance and removal of underground and overhead power lines and equipment.
