Job summary

AMG Tech Support is seeking skilled field technicians to support our national client base. This role goes beyond basic helpdesk, involving OS installs, hardware diagnostics, structured cabling, and on-site service across multiple environments.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year IT/Telecom experience, hold A+ or Network+ or equivalent field experience, and are comfortable working as a 1099 contractor with travel within an 80-mile radius.

Qualifications

• Hands-on field IT/telecom experience preferred.
• Comfort with diverse client environments and on-site work.
• Ability to diagnose hardware and software issues in the field.

Responsibilities

• OS installations, hardware diagnostics, and software setup.
• Structured cabling (drilling, running, dressing cables).
• Telecom work (punch-downs, demarc extensions).
• Work independently across environments: retail, medical, restaurant, corporate.
• Maintain professionalism with clients and respond to service requests within territory.
